The new Coronavirus that has killed over thousand of people in China and sickened more than forty five thousand people across the globe  has been named as " COVID-19"  by the WHO.

           Here, The CO stand for Corona, the VI for Virus and the D for Disease . The Virus was first identified in Wuhan , China in late December 2019. In simple, Corona is a large group of viruses, which can infect both human & animals with cold related diseases. So far no known treatment is available for this virus.

What are the Sign and Symptoms of the new Corona Virus infection?

• Coughing
• Fever
• Pneumonia
• Shortness of breath
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea 

In advance cases , the patient can have very serious complications which can lead to death, such as - Severe Pneumonia and Renal( Kidney Failure)

Steps to reduce the risk of Coronavirus :

• Avoid travel if you are suffering from fever and cough.
• Wash your hand frequently with soap  and water after coughing and sneezing, after using toilets, clean your hands before and after caring a sick people.
• Share your travel history with your physician if you suffering fever and cough.
• If you have cough , fever or difficulty in breathing contact nearest hospital.
• Avoid close contact with any one with cold , cough or fever like symptom.       

Test to detect COVID-19 Positive cases:

 

    So far two test are conducted namely RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) test and RT_PCR ( Real Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) test to detect covid-19.
