DUCKWORTH LEWIS STERN METHOD :


         The Duck Worth Lewis Method used in weather affected limited overs cricket matches. This method devised by the Tony Lewis alongside fellow mathematician Frank Duck worth ,which was introduced in 1997 and adopted officially by the ICC (International Cricket Council) in 1999 and it was renamed as Duck worth Lewis stern method in 2014. The Formula came about in response to the extraordinary climax of a rain interrupted in 1992 world Cup Semifinal match in Sydney.

The method then in use was based on removing the lowest scoring over from each team innings.
