Will AI take away our jobs “-An IMF analysis reveals that  nearly 40% of global employment is exposed to AI and potentially led to job losses , therefore, AI  is a major concern  among the economist and common people . Historically, it is evidence that any technological advancement or industrial revolution time to time affects some section of people and benefited some section of people. So , AI also has similar nature and critics argued that , it has taken away jobs in the field of Art & Design, Photography, Video Editing , painting, Sophisticated labour added services like Traffic management and control, data analysis , reporting and anchoring media etc. But at the same time , it has also positive aspects and open various jobs opportunity in the field of AI driven industry /services sectors like research works, Bio –Technology, Pharmaceutical & medicine sectors , crop management and monitoring, climate observation and management , cyber security , gene editing, banking and financial sectors  etc .

Jobs AI is likely to transform (not eliminate):

  • Office & Knowledge Work: Admin assistants, paralegals, data entry, customer service—all will see parts of their work automated. But humans will still be needed for oversight, decision-making, and emotional intelligence.
  • Creative Fields: Designers, writers, marketers—AI can assist, but humans are still key to strategy, originality, and brand voice.
  • Healthcare: AI can analyze scans or assist in diagnosis, but doctors, nurses, and caregivers are still vital.

Jobs at higher risk of being automated:

  • Repetitive manual labor: Like warehouse sorting, manufacturing line jobs, or some driving jobs (e.g., truck driving, eventually).

Simple clerical tasks: Like data entry or basic bookkeeping

Jobs AI is likely to create or increase demand for:

  • AI engineers, ethicists, prompt designers, data scientists.
  • Roles requiring emotional intelligence, leadership, adaptability.
  • Trades and hands-on work (electricians, plumbers, caregivers)—very hard to automate fully.

Therefore, adoption of AI with utmost sensible and responsible way with capacity building , training and skill development definitely help us and it will create more jobs rather than taken away jobs and Workers who adapt, learn how to work with AI, and grow their uniquely human strengths (creativity, empathy, judgment) are more likely to thrive.
